A lot of people ask me what coaching is? Honestly, before I became a coach or even started learning about coaching, I genuinely thought it was something that wanabe entrepreneurs did. You know exactly the type I mean, where some guy is on a beach telling you he used to work in a 9 to 5 office job. Bit cringy and you’re still not entirely sure what they do!
When I delved a bit deeper, it opened my eyes to how much power we have in our own lives. How much mindset can help or hinder us. The ability to read ourselves and understand how we think. The thing is, it’s easier to read a book or listen to a podcast to try to get immediate answers. Trust me, I’ve been there too. Many of them can be inspirational and very helpful, but what about when we feel stuck? What about when we are in a situation where we just don’t know what to do? What if we don’t know how to change how we feel? What if we’ve read books on confidence but still can’t quite implement it because something is holding us back? What if we want our lives to look different but we’re not actually sure what that even looks like? It can be a frustrating, confusing and even dark time in our lives where we feel like we’re not living up to our potential or even living the life we want.....
Sometimes when trying to make decisions, we find it difficult to get outside of our existing thought patterns in order to figure out the answers we are looking for. One of the main tools in coaching is the ability to ask the right questions. If you ask a new question, you’re going to get a new answer. Even asking the same question in a different way or allowing a coach to use techniques to explore your thought process and patterns can be an extremely powerful tool to help explore parts of your mind and thoughts you may not be accessing. We all hold our own answers but not necessarily the tools to access them.
100%! What happens in our sessions stays in our sessions, just like seeing a therapist.
The time that your coaching process will take depends on the complexity of your goals, your commitment and how open you are to creating change.
I offer a 4 week package that is aimed at targeting a specific area of focus. This will allow us enough time to understand any blocks or challenges and implement changes that you can build on longer term.
For transformation work and if you are looking to gain more balance and fulfilment across multiple areas of your life, I work over a 12 week period. From experience I have found this to be the optimal amount of time to produce real tangible results.
Coaching is a powerful tool that can help you to gain a better understanding of who you are. Throughout the sessions, many of my clients have noted an improved sense of personal awareness, increased confidence both professionally and personally and an enhanced ability to overcome challenges and negative thinking. Other impactful benefits can include a heightened sense of personal wellbeing, improved mindset and greater emotional regulation.
The initial session will be a 60-90 minute breakthrough session where we will aim to get clarity on what you wish to achieve. This will allow for a tailor made experience.
After the initial session you will have a 45-60 minute session each week where we will break down limiting beliefs, shift perspectives, set and achieve goals and use question and coaching techniques to explore different parts of you. Where appropriate we may also use neuro linguistic programming techniques or timeline therapy to work with your sub-conscious and re-program thoughts, beliefs and habits that are no longer serving you.
I understand that talking about yourself can be difficult for some people. However, it is an important part of coaching, as it helps you gain insight into your strengths, values, goals, and challenges. I work with my clients by creating a safe and supportive space to share your thoughts and feelings, without judgment or pressure. I also use various techniques to help you open up, such as asking open-ended questions, reflecting back what you say, validating your emotions, and challenging your assumptions. I understand the importance of respecting your pace and boundaries. Talking about yourself can be a rewarding and empowering experience, especially with the guidance of a professional coach.
A monthly report is provided and discussed as we progress through the 12 week course. This enables us to make any adjustments to your goals or focus on newly arising challenges. For the 4 week course we will discuss any actions from the previous session. At the end of the 4 weeks you will take home a final report which will help in implementing your goals over the longer term. The sessions are specifically catered to what you want as a client.
As a fully accredited international life coach and fully accredited master practitioner in neuro linguistic programming I have all of the tools and qualifications needed to coach you through transitionary periods, times of growth, life events or things you may be struggling with. I have also worked with clients from many different backgrounds, cultures and with very different challenges and situations.
I feel that my personal experience of going through a huge career transition and moving continent to travel, work and home school also allow me to provide additional insights. This is particularly helpful to clients going through transition periods.
